Have you heard of lip stains?! These products have been making waves in the beauty community, and for good reason. A Hive member recently raved about their experience using lip stains, sharing how they provide a long-lasting, rich color that doesn't fade throughout the day. Intrigued by this enthusiastic recommendation, we thought it was high time we got with the times and explored the world of lip stains ourselves!

For those unfamiliar with lip stains, they are unique cosmetic products designed to deliver a burst of color that adheres to the lips for hours on end. Unlike traditional lipsticks or glosses, which can smudge or wear off after a meal or a few sips of your drink, lip stains are formulated to provide a more durable option that remains vibrant and fresh-looking. This makes them an excellent choice for busy individuals who want to maintain a polished appearance without the hassle of constant touch-ups.

One of the standout features of lip stains is their lightweight texture. Many users appreciate that they feel almost weightless on the lips, allowing for comfortable wear throughout the day. Additionally, lip stains often come in a variety of shades, from bold reds to soft pinks and even deep berries, catering to all preferences and occasions. Whether you're looking for a subtle everyday look or something more dramatic for a night out, there's likely a lip stain that fits the bill.

Moreover, the application process is quite simple. Many lip stains come with a precise applicator that allows for easy and controlled application, ensuring that you can achieve the desired intensity without any mess. Some products even offer a matte finish, which is particularly trendy right now, while others may have a slight sheen, giving your lips a luscious, healthy appearance.

RESULTS:

As we mentioned in the video, we tried two different lip stain products.

Lip stain

Marty tested the Sacheu Lip Liner Stay-N-Peel Off Lip Stain. Inspired by a viral makeup trend, this peel-off lip liner stain keeps your lip color in place all day and night for fuss-free, long-wearing lip looks. It does go on almost black. Available in 9 colors - Marty tried the p-INKED shade and really liked the final results!

Trish and Tiffany tested the Wonderskin Wonder Blading Lip Stain Peel Off Masque. This lip liner stain is a long-lasting lip stain that is smudge-proof, transfer-proof, and water-proof, making it the perfect choice for any daytime or nighttime plans. It goes on blue. Available in 28 colors - Trish and Tiffany used the Whimsical Kit shade. Again, really liked their color choice for their skin tones.

HOURS LATER:

lip stain results

We snapped this goofy photo about 6 hours later in the day. Though the color intensity did diminish slightly over the course of the day, we were all thrilled with the staying power of the lip stain. We all ate and drank over that time. Tiffany event went to the gym, showered and the color held up great. We are big fans of the lip stain products and might have just discovered our new favorite beauty staple!

Thanks and yep! We all have used the products several times since the video trial. Love the ease of applying once while getting ready and have a lip color stay for hours. We are sold on them!

Would Marty do the peel off again or would she switch to the wipe off product after seeing the others? Was there any difference in coverage?

I really like the peel off product. I have used it several more times since making the video and really have the hang on how to apply now. I honestly think it is a preference of peel off or wipe off - they both achieve the same results. As far as coverage, I think they both cover well. The wipe off might be a tad easier to apply the first time as I was nervous about getting the peel off "just right" the first time I applied. Hope that helps!
